Brad O’Neal has been providing an exceptional set of skills to the forensic field since 2010. With an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Florida in 2004 and a law degree from Florida Coastal in 2008, the synergy of these two degrees and the years of experience and education in both design and forensics allows Brad to offer unique expertise and knowledge to his clients.
Brad’s areas of specialty include electrical systems, electric shock and electrocution, batteries, Li-ion batteries, e-cigarettes, renewable energy, data centers, product failures, and extensive marine investigation of all sizes. Brad is experienced in forensic exams of a multitude of products and many types of premises which may culminate in subrogation or liability concerns.
Brad is based in Jacksonville, FL, but travels both nationally and internationally to provide FIRE services.
Kevin Hantosh, PE | Principal Forensic Consultant
Kevin Hantosh as been providing expertise in forensic and technical consulting services since 2011. Kevin’s formal education includes an Electrical Engineering degree from Northern Illinois University along with extensive continuing education. Hands-on experience ranges from heavy construction to product design, compliance testing (national and international) and actively voting in various standards creating bodies like ASTM.
Before joining FIRE, he was named Principal Electrical Engineer of one of the largest forensic investigation firms in the country and led a team of forensic electrical engineers across North American and the UK. Kevin’s specialties include power and portable power, including Li-based battery technology, product failure analysis, shock or electrocution assessments, renewable energy, casino gaming and damage assessments.
Kevin is based in Chicago, IL, but travels both nationally and internationally to provide FIRE services.
Eric Hartford | Forensic Consultant
Eric Hartford brings extensive engineering expertise in the manufacturing of Lithium-Ion batteries, electrical components, utility products, energy distribution and energy storage. He participated in the destructive physical analysis of numerous lithium-ion cells and his organization provided expertise for cell and battery failure analysis. Eric has built his experience while working in aerospace, utility and telecom sectors.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and completed post-graduate work in Fracture Mechanics, as well as hands-on work in aerospace Fatigue Evaluation. Eric directed the operations of a company that built Lithium-Ion batteries for customers such as Northrop Grumman, Orbital Sciences, Boeing and NASA end uses on the International Space Station.
Eric has traveled nationally and internationally to build networks and baseline manufacturing facilities for energy storage products and lithium-ion cells,
including the re-shoring of manufacturing capability to the USA.
Eric is based in Atlanta, GA, but travels both nationally and internationally to provide FIRE services.
Gaetano Fuschetto, PE | Forensic Consultant
Gaetano began his engineering career in 2000 and has worked in the following industries: electrical and forensic engineering. Gaetano has previous experience serving as a senior electrical engineer and an electrical designer. His areas of expertise are commercial and residential electrical investigations, electric shock/electrocution, electrical failure/defect, electrical fire causation, licensed electrical contractor, and marine electrical systems, among others.
Gaetano is a licensed professional engineer in 44 states, the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands, a certified fire and explosion investigator, a certified vehicle fire investigator and has worked as an electrical contractor.
Gaetano is based in Florida, but travels both nationally and internationally to provide FIRE services.
